Luis Boto has a degree in Political Science and a Master in Management and Public Administration from the Institute of Social and Political Sciences, of the University of Lisbon, where he was a member of the Board of Directors and later joined the Institute’s Advisory Board. He was also Chairman of the General Assembly of the Political Science Center of the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon and its Allumni first President.

With two decades of experience in the financial sector, particularly in the insurance industry, he’s an experienced businessman. He was at the head of several public and private companies in Portugal an in Brazil and is a seasoned entrepreneur in international projects, having led several business groups, mainly in Portuguese-speaking countries.

He is fluent in 5 languages, speaking in addition to Portuguese (his native language), English, French, Spanish and Italian.
